How often do you think of the past?
How often do you think about the past: what happened yesterday? Or last week, last month, maybe last year?
It’s easy to get stuck on the past. Why? Because it’s already happened.
The past is known. It is a memory.
The future is unknown. We have no idea what in the heck is going to happen.
And humans are taught to fear the future. We are taught to fear the unknown.
So, we head back to what we know – the past.
Unfortunately, though, the past keeps us in — you guessed it – the past.
So, for your 60 second motivational minute for today…
Allow yourself to spend 15 mins, uninterrupted, to focus on the present so you can get the future you want. If you get to the future you want, then it’s not so unknown, is it?
Do the daily 15 mins for a week. Next week, up it to 30 mins a day for a week. The following week, 45 mins a day for a week & a week after, 60 mins a day for a week.
The change in focus will get you unstuck on the past.
