Motivational Minute: Do You Want to Start a Good Habit?

good habit

It’s time for you to bring in a good habit.

Everyday this summer I get up, feed the animals, grab some coffee, and put on Netflix. Next thing I know, it’s 4 hrs later.

This is no different than during the school year when I come home from the morning bus run, grab coffee, something to eat & turn on a streaming service. Next thing I know, It’s time to go back in for the afternoon run.

I’m a stickler for routine. What can I say, I’m a Taurus.

However, there are times when I know I need to go beyond my routine and incorporate something new.

A good habit, a better way of life.

But a good habit & a bad habit cannot occupy the same space.

And the experts say it takes 21 days to form a new habit.

5 days ago I started to shift things around and bring in two good habits.

Now when I get up I feed the animals, grab coffee, meditate, write for 30 min, & THEN turn on Netflix. My goal is to nix Netflix during the day completely. But I have to do a little at a time.

So, for your 60 second motivational minute for today…

Pick a good habit you want to start. For the next 21 days incorporate it into your daily schedule.
